Laying The Groundwork: Earthworks Near Completion as We Build The Future of Equine Care
It's been a long time in the making, but the construction of the Sunshine Coast Equine Hospital is finally well underway. Our journey to this point has been marked by meticulous planning and several challenges, including the impacts of COVID-19, which necessitated a comprehensive revision of our original plans.
This summer, we faced another hurdle with heavy rainfalls over the Sunshine Coast region that delayed our construction efforts. However, as the cooler months arrived, the weather improved significantly, reducing rainfall to much more manageable levels. This change allowed us to commence earthworks in earnest.
Despite the fortunate fact that our site is flat, the local terrain is pretty hilly, this characteristic required extensive earthworks to prepare the ground for construction. Watching these massive machines at work brought a sense of excitement to everyone involved, but it also came with a measure of trepidation. The task ahead is monumental: building and readying an equine hospital for operation is no small feat.
We are pleased to report that the earthworks will soon be completed, paving the way for us to start laying the building foundations. This milestone marks a significant step forward in our journey.
We invite you to continue following our progress as we embark on this adventure. Thank you for your support and enthusiasm as we work towards creating a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the health and welfare of horses. Stay tuned for more updates!
