Construction Update - January 2025

As we kick off 2025, excitement is building—literally! Despite over 200mm of rain this month, we’ve made fantastic progress on the heart of our facility: the main hospital building.

One of the most impressive moments so far has been seeing the massive concrete panels lifted and secured into place. This was no small feat, and watching these walls rise was a true milestone. These panels will define the three key areas of the hospital—our offices, the state-of-the-art surgery suite, and the examination/treatment area.

Next came the installation of the steel frame, forming the hospital’s skeleton. Now that the frame is in place, it’s easier than ever to see the true scale of the building—it’s definitely more Shire than Shetland Pony!

This week, the team has begun preparing for roof insulation, with the goal of getting the roof sheeting on next week. We’re hoping for some good weather to keep the momentum going!

The dedication and expertise of our construction team are bringing this vision to life, and every milestone brings us closer to opening our doors. We can’t wait to welcome horses and their owners into this purpose-built facility designed for healing, innovation, and teamwork.
